1. What cookies and browser storage are
Cookies are small values a website can store through your browser. Websites can also use technologies such as local storage to remember preferences on a device. These technologies can be essential to a service or can be used for analytics and marketing.
2. Essential Smart3ch technologies
Smart3ch uses session and authentication technologies needed for secure sign-in, account continuity, tenant or workspace resolution, and other core application functions. Disabling essential browser storage may prevent parts of the service from working correctly.
3. Local storage preferences
Smart3ch may use local browser storage for preferences such as theme selection, promotion dismissal, and whether this privacy notice has already been dismissed. These values are intended to improve the interface and do not create an advertising profile.
4. Analytics
The production application currently includes Vercel Analytics for aggregate website usage and performance insights. The public website code reviewed for this launch phase does not intentionally include Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or other marketing-cookie integrations.
5. The Smart3ch privacy banner
The small Smart3ch privacy banner is informational. Choosing Accept or Dismiss stores a local preference so the notice does not keep reappearing. These controls do not disable technologies that are strictly necessary to operate authentication or core service functionality.
6. Future changes
If Smart3ch later introduces advertising, behavioral tracking, or other non-essential technologies that require additional consent, the consent experience and this notice should be updated before those technologies are enabled.
7. More information
